So, while many photographers have been out shooting the Aspens, I was blessed with a week in Kaua'i for the first time ever. Saw some great sites, such as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific (Waimea Canyon), several waterfalls, beaches, and did some hiking at much much lower elevations.
Because of the lack of an ocean around here, I had fun with long exposures and waves.http://www.jonlabass.com/trips/kauai-hawaii_200909 Still need to give them proper names...

Well, if one had to miss fall colors here, I guess that's not such a bad place to go. Glad you had a great trip. Nice set of pictures!

Nice work Jon. I really like some of the sunrise/sunsets. I have always wanted to get to Kaua'i. Thwarted by hurricane once and flooding another time.
